About

I am a lecturer within the division of Systems and Operations in the faculty of Management at the University of Central Lancashire.

I've taught mainly 'systems' modules for the past 10 years, along with the occasional foray into the murky depths of Accounting and Finance, International Finance, International Marketing, Personal Development, Statistical Analysis and Uncle Tom Cobbly an' all.  A 'Jack of all trades' you might say.  Sorry, Generalist (current management speak).

Along with my teaching encumberances I've been involved in several projects:
Local co-ordinator for ELefANTS (E-Learning for Acquiring New Types of Skills - part of the wider DaVinci project),
Project co-ordinator for Work-Based learning for progression to Higher Education,
Consultant within CustomerWise,
Contributor to EBABE,
Contributor to E-Evolve,
Developer/Deliverer for ASHEE (Accessing Skills for Higher Education and Employability)

I did start a PhD on the subject of systems' evaluation, but sadly didn't complete due to an awful lot of life getting right in the way.  Still, chance yet.  Through my project work I have become very interested in researching the role of electronic communication in teaching and learning.
